دعوة لإغاثة المستضعفين الروهينجيا في ميانمار (باللغة الإنجليزية)

A call to relief the helpless Rohingya in Myanmar

By Khalid ibn `Abdur-Rahman Ash-Shayi`

Praise be to Allah in all circumstances, and He is the One whose aid is to be implored and upon Him we rely. And peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad.

Of the Muslim's griefs which have been bleeding a long time ago is the ordeal of the Muslim Rohingya in Myanmar of Burma. They suffer persecution and confiscation many times, moreover they suffered massacra, bodily liqudation, and burning alive. "They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!" [Surat Al Buruj: 8].

Muslims were forced to escape and flee to neighboring countries, but unfortunately they moved from suffering to suffering, either by not receiving them, or inhabiting them in places that do not meet the minimum requirement of human dignity, or selling and purchasing them, or killing them in boats that were transporting them.

Their last suffering was: A large number of them were stranded in boats after the neighboring countries had refused to recieve them such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Bangladesh.

According to international organizations, about eight thousand Rohingya immegrants have been stranded in their broken down boats two months ago.

No doubt, this condition is refused by the Shari`ah which urges every body to rescue them whether they are Muslims or not. Moreover, anyone has an atom of humanity or mercy feels sad toward this oppression and ignorance practised against those helpless Muslims, and participate by all means in helping them.

So, Muslim governments as well as Muslim relief organizations and international and political organizations should hasten to aid them and endeavor to provide a secure exit for those stranded in the sea, and to continue with the ASEAN countries as well as countries near Myanmar to save them from drowning, to provide a safe haven for them, and to provide material support for that.

Rich Muslims and businessmen shall be held accountable before Allah for them: They shall be asked about what they have provided to their Muslim oppressed, hungry, and the sick there? Have they helped relief bodies? Have they released themselves of guilt before their Lord?

It is proper time to find a just solution to the oppressed Muslims in Myanmar, therefore countries and organizations should press on the government of "Naepiedo" to admit the rights of Muslims of Myanmar to live in dignity and peace, to stop persecuting them, and to protect them from the attacks of extremists.

Allah (Glory be to Him) explains what Muslims should do, saying: "The believers, men and women, are Auliyâ' (helpers, supporters, friends, protectors) of one another." [Surat At-Tawbah: 71]. Meaning: Help and aid one another as was reported in Sahih Al Bukhari and Sahih Muslim on the authority of the Prophet (peace be upon him) who said: "A believer to another believer is like a wall of different parts support each other." Then, he intertwined between his fingers. It was reported in Sahih Al Bukhair and Sahih Muslim that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "The believers in their mutual love, mercy, like one body, if the member complained to falter, the rest of the body and to ensure a fever."

The Islamic Shari`ah commands people to help one another and cooperate with one another to establish justice, stop oppression, and take care of all human rights. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwâ (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression."[Surat Al Ma'idah: 2].

Allah is the only One implored for help, there is no might nor strength save in Allah, and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad.
