The future is for Islam

Brothers and sisters, boys and girls:

As-salamu `Alaykum warahmatullah wabarakatuh (May Allah's Peace, Mercy, and Blessings be upon you!),

I am optimistic about the great future of Islam despite the frequent plots woven against it and the aggressive campaigns directed against it and its followers which we witness these days from the enemies of Islam and their agents. Furthermore, these episodes and campaigns would not have been found unless the fear of those enemies from the spread of Islam at their homes.

this Islam which He is mercy and and peace in this world and in the Hereafter: "O you who believe! Answer Allâh (by obeying Him) and (His) Messenger when he (peace be upon him) calls you to that which will give you life, and know that Allâh comes in between a person and his heart (i.e. He prevents an evil person to decide anything). And verily, to Him you shall (all) be gathered." [Surat Al Anfal: 24].

The enemies of Allah started to plot against Islam since Allah has honored humanity with sending down the Qur'an to the noblest Prophet (peace be upon him), and this plot continued until today. Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) received harm and belying, and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) received mockery and torture. When the Muslim state was established in Medina, it faced many troubles. These plots continued, as mentioned, in many fields: intellectual, economic, and military.

The Glorious Qur'an has decided that the battle between the truth and falsehood is eternal. Allah (May He be Exalted) says: "And they will never cease fighting you until they turn you back from your religion (Islâmic Monotheism) if they can." [Surat Al Baqarah: 217]. Allah (may He be Exalted) says: "Those who believe, fight in the Cause of Allâh, and those who disbelieve, fight in the cause of Tâghût (Satan). So fight you against the friends of Shaitân (Satan). Ever feeble indeed is the plot of Shaitân (Satan)." [Surat An-Nisa': 76]. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "They wish that you reject Faith, as they have rejected Faith, and thus that you all become equal (like one another)." [Surat An-Nisa': 89]. Our Lord (Glory be to Him) tells the people that the disbelievers wish that Muslims would be unbelievers as they are in order to be equal.

Brothers and children:

The specter of the Crusades, which lasted nearly two centuries and destroyed crops and cattle, is coming to the picture again through the numerous events taking place in Muslim countries, such as: Afghanistan, Chechnya, Iraq, the Balkans, Palestine and in other countries. I would like to remind you with the proverb of the French leader when he stood in front of the Saladin's grave in Damascus, and said: "O Saladin, we are here, now the Crusades is over."

He was telling lies because these crusades never ended but they are going on till today: "And Allah has full power over His Affairs, but most people do not know."

After the Crusades, there were the brutal attacks of the Tatars, then followed by the massacre of Sicily and Andalusia where Muslims were killed, tortured, and driven out of their homes by Christians who established the courts of Inquisition and force them to disbelief.

Then, came the major disaster (i.e., the eradication of the Islamic caliphate) that was the University of Muslims, supporting the doctrine of the Sunnis and the general Muslim group. After the fall of the Caliphate, the infidels divided Muslims' countries to small countries and raised national old glories among them.

The French Orientalist Karadi Fu, who died in 1953, said: "I think we have to work hard to tear up the Muslim world and destroy its spiritual unity, using political and ethnic divisions for this end. Let us tear up Islam and use for this purpose the deviant sects and the Sufis so that we can weaken Islam and make it helpless to rise again."

That was their plan and plots, however Allah has turned their plots against them and the Muslim awakening was raised again in the Muslim world, praise be to Allah.

I admit that this blessed awakening needs rationalization and guiding which is the duty of scholars who are the intellectual leaders of the nation. Their role is to educate Muslims and encouraging the generations to know their religion and understand its advantages, and act according to it and calling to it with wisdom and beautiful preaching. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "And who is better in speech than he who [says: “My Lord is Allâh (believes in His Oneness),” and then stands firm (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allâh’s (Islâmic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: “I am one of the Muslims.” * The good deed and the evil deed cannot be equal. Repel (the evil) with one which is better (i.e. Allâh orders the faithful believers to be patient at the time of anger, and to excuse those who treat them badly) then verily he, between whom and you there was enmity, (will become) as though he was a close friend." [Surat Fussilat: 23-24].

The reality of Muslims today is lagging behind in all fields: scientifically, technically, economically, politically and militarily. Though our religion is targeted, our ethics are targeted, our countries are targeted. So, our duty is to defend our religion, morals, and countries; that is through a group of scholars and scientists who will prepare periodic plans to change this reality, and help the advancement of Muslims to continue their message. Allah (Glory be to Him) says : "You [true believers in Islâmic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him and his Sunnah] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma‘rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden), and you believe in Allâh."

I would like to say it is not permissible to be reactions to the plots of the infidels only, but this should be the case in addition to planning and work.

Indeed, victory is coming, no doubt, if we follow the steps of victory. Allah (Glory be to Him) says: "O you who believe! If you help (in the cause of) Allâh, He will help you, and make your foothold firm." [Surat Muhammad: 7]. The Almighty says: "Allâh has promised those among you who believe and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the land, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islâm). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieves after this, they are the Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh)." [Surat An-Nur: 55]. And He says: "Verily, We will indeed make victorious Our Messengers and those who believe (in the Oneness of Allâh — Islâmic Monotheism) in this world’s life and on the Day when the witnesses will stand forth, (i.e. Day of Resurrection)—" [Surat Ghafir: 51].
